The Government Affairs Committee (GAC) represents the member associations of the American Retirement Association in communications with the United States Executive Branch, Congress and government agencies in shaping the retirement industry and protecting our members.
These communications can include developing comment letters to the Department of Labor, the Treasury Department, IRS and the PBGC, as well as testimony on Capitol Hill. In addition, GAC is responsible for notifying NAPA and ASPPA members of important legal and regulatory developments through periodic ASPPA asaps and GAC Alerts.
